34th ANNUAL CITY-WIDE GARAGE SALE SAT. & SUN. AUG. 9TH & 10TH
Permits for the Annual City-Wide Garage Sale will go on sale July 21st at the Haysville Community Library. The permits will cost $10 and will be good for both Saturday and Sunday (you can use it for both days, or either day).
The city of Haysville will NOT be selling permits for the Friday prior to the City-Wide Garage Sale.
Questions may be directed to the library. Call 524-5242.
All proceeds from permit sales benefit the Friends of the Library.

Full Out Dance Company places four dances and receives a judge’s choice and team spirit award at Talent On Parade’s national dance competition. The competition took place in Tulsa, Okla. from Tuesday, June 24 to Sunday, June 29. More than 84 studios from Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Nebraska, Texas and other states competed in the weeklong competition.
FODC featured dances by Allison McCue, Camryn Bannister, Aubree Mason and Alyra Koerner of Wellington, Kan. Chelsea Linker of Conway Springs, Taylor Hanna of Clearwater, Taylor Bohannon of Belle Plaine and Sierra Almanza of Goddard also competed.
Almanza placed sixth overall for age 11-12 solos in the intermediate category for “Party.”
“Just The Way You Are,” featuring Almanza, Hanna and Linker took seventh overall in the intermediate duet, trio category.
“5, 6, 7, 8,” featuring Koerner, Bannister and Mason placed ninth overall for ages 8 and younger in the competitive duet, trio category. Koerner and Bannister’s duet “Boots” also placed 10th overall in the same category.
“Spanish Rose,” featuring McCue, Bohannon, Almanza, Hanna and Linker received a judge’s choice award for enthusiasm within a dance.
Full Out Dance Company is a new dance studio owned and operated by Danielle Marrone in Haysville, Kan. FODC offers classes in jazz, ballet, lyrical, tap and hip-hop to children ages 3-18. Classes are offered to both recreational and competitive students.

From the city of Haysville...
Monday afternoon, the Wichita Children’s Theater will perform The Ugly Duckling at the Haysville Activity Center. Sponsored by the Haysville City Parks and Community Forestry Board, the show begins at 3:30 p.m. and is completely FREE!
Tuesday night from 5:30 to 8:30, Campus High School’s Warm Hearts Knitting Club is hosting a summer knitting class at Wire House Art Gallery, open to all ages and skill levels!
On Wednesday June 4th the Library will welcome the first of their Summer Performers: Shawn Reida Magic. Be sure to take your kids in at 10:00 AM for the show, which is free. (Seats fill up very fast for these shows)
The library is hosting a tea party for girls aged 6-8 on Thursday at 3:00 p.m. It is limited to 8 girls, so sign up in advance by calling 524-5242.
On Friday, June 6th, Ballet Wichita will be in Riggs Park performing Peter Pan. Think happy thoughts and come out for the show. It starts at 7:00 p.m. and is also free!
On Saturday, June 7th at 7:00, Haysville will welcome the Wichita Shakespeare Company to Riggs Park for another free performance. After swearing off gluttony, booze, and women for three years, what’s a king to do when he falls in love? Find out in Love’s Labours Lost!
Saturday is also the HAC’s annual Father/Son Campout in Riggs park next to the pool. Cost is $25, pre-registration is required, contact the HAC at 529-5922 for more info.
The Haysville Aviators are keeping busy, with home games Tuesday-Friday (Thursday's is a double header and will start at 6:00), beginning at 7:00 p.m. and a baseball camp on Saturday from 10:00 to 1:00
