Was just reading an article on here about businesses after the railroad construction where the owner of china cafe said this "Lin said he hopes things will be consistently stronger when the businesses across the street are built". To bad one of those businesses is a competitor. I'm sure that had to hurt.
we did have a taco bell at the cornor of grand and main in that station at one time
Let's not forget that awful Taco Grande that is now Beehler's Real Estate. What Haysville needs is either a good sit down Mexican restaurant (Schneider's office would work) or a Taco Bueno for fast food.
Guess I should have done my research a little better. I'd forgotten about those.
Thank you.
Amelina's mexican restaurant started its business just before the railroad overpass started. The closing of 71st did have an affect on it as did with other business. The city should of opened up Karla street, which still is closed before it started construction. One of the main owners of the business Orti Ramirez which was the main cog in the business passed away in June of 2008, she is so sadly missed, she was a great woman. Amelina's would have been okay at first I think it was to authenic but it started to serve exactly what the customers wanted.
